…according to Joe:

Hmmmmmm….how did we meet? Well, Cat will probably say that we met when she came back from Japan and started to work at the same place that I did (I worked for IMT, she worked for Boscogen, both in the same building/office) and we got to know each other then. BUT I’ll tell you the REAL story. I remember first meeting Cat way back in UCI like in 2000 or so hanging out with her best friend Danielle at the terrace where everyone hung out at during lunch, right outside of the bookstore and Zot N Go. Both of them had the too cool for school attitude and I was intimidated by them and she would never talk to me, probably doesn’t even remember me from UCI. I would see Cat here and there at various parties where she would be the bartender and I would try to order a drink from her, but she would ignore me and so I had to order a drink from another bartender. I wouldn’t call us friends at all when we were at UCI, I would say we were aquaintances. Actually, I knew who she was, but she didn’t really know who I was. It wasn’t until 2004 when she started to work at the same company that I worked at that we started to hang out. Actually, she started there in 2004 and I don’t think we really hung out until a year later, after Danielle left and Cat was stuck with hanging out with me since she had no one else to hang out with. I think it was at the grand opening of the Nordstrom at the Irvine Spectrum that we really started to talk and have lunch together and hang out. And that’s what Cat will say is the first time we met…but my story is the real story.

I distinctly remember her as a friends best friend, a friends roommate, ironbark bartender, ASUCI vice president, and co-worker. I never would imagine I would be lucky enough to know her as girlfriend, fiancé, or even wife.

…according to Cat:

The first time we met: Joe is right when he says I don’t remember the first time we met. I know, cue the Boos! We probably did get introduced through Danielle at the Terrace of UCI. [Sidebar, Danielle knew everyone!] It may not have been love at first sight, but I was always told to play hard to get…hah!

The second time we met: Again, Danielle introduced me to Joe when we all worked together at Stason Pharmaceuticals. I always saw Joe in the hallways, but we’d be too shy to talk to each other unless someone else initiated conversation. ‘Tis true… Nordies brought us together and we’ve been inseperable ever since. Thanks D for introducing me to Joe a second time…this time it stuck! =P
